Also like, work with the land rather than against it. Don't try to make a lawn grow in the desert or something. See what has been traditionally grown where you are or works well in the environment you're in.

There's a Japanese ecologist(probably something else) but he reinvigorated tons of "ish" land and he has a whole method of reforestation that is scientifically proven. We can repair the damaged areas it just takes more time and patience than the average person wants to give.

If he improved the land enough, they just might take it away...something about a national security threat!
